BLACKNLA, hereinafter referred to as BlackOut Agreement and Release

I (attendee), of sound body and mind, in consideration of my participation at BLACKOUT X AFRICA hosted by Blackout over the dates of October 11-20, 2025, agree to the following:

  1. You are responsible for your flight/transportation to Kotoka International Airport. BLACKOUT is not responsible for any delays or problems resulting from air travel, including ground transportation to and from the airports and residence locations. Delays or cancellations from your choice of transportation are not grounds for a refund.

  2. Bus - Blackout utilizes transportation provided by carriers who are not employees of Blackout, and I will not hold Blackout responsible for the default of any such carrier or its personnel. I also agree that I will pay any additional expense incurred due to any delays in service, weather, strike, or any other cause which are not the direct fault of Blackout.

  3. Attendee agrees that it is their responsibility to handle any illness or injury during the event, and it is their responsibility to pay for any costs related to that illness or injury.

  4. If I or any of my possessions are injured, damaged, or lost due to an accident that occurs while I am in a vehicle or airplane hired by Blackout Weekend during the period of this trip, I agree that Blackout Weekend is not responsible for the loss, injury or damage to any of my possessions whether said injury, loss, or damage occur as a result of an accident or for any other reason.

  5. If I (the attendee) behave in an unbecoming manner in the judgment of a representative of Blackout or inappropriately use the event wristband, then Blackout may confiscate the event wristband, and no refunds will be given. All Event personnel have the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder without a refund at their discretion.

  6. If, for any reason or circumstance beyond the control of Blackout, it becomes necessary for Blackout Weekend to cancel a trip prior to its departure or during the event, then only unused fees will be refunded. Financial commitments and payments are made weeks and months before the event; therefore, certain fees are used and not refundable to Blackout Weekend - these fees are in the form of transportation, lodging, vendor fees, and office services.

  7. Blackout reserves the right to alter or cancel any of the weekend events and or venues at any time without prior notice.

  8. I (attendee) acknowledge that international travel can be dangerous and can result in serious physical injury or even death to any person participating. I hereby release Blackout, its employees, and it’s representatives any and all liability that may arise as a result of any injury or death that occurs during this event while participating in any activities.

  9. Blackout will be using photographers and videographers on the weekend event to document participant activities. Photos and videos will be posted on Blackout Weekend or one of its affiliate sites and used for flyers or other future promotional materials. If you would like your image removed from a published photo, please email us at blackoutxafrica@gmail.com

Several methods of security are used, including encryption, firewalls, and other technology and security procedures, to help protect the accuracy and security of your personal information and prevent unauthorized access or improper use. For example, you will note that while using some features of the website and online services, you will need to submit a password or some other type of authenticating information.

Privacy Statement

Your privacy is respected, and we work hard to safeguard the privacy of your personal data. We realize that the Internet raises questions concerning the nature, use, and confidentiality of information collected about consumers. Personal Information

Your information is not shared, and we do not disclose or sell any personal information (such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address) collected online via the website with other unaffiliated companies or organizations. In the future, should we decide to share such data with third parties for marketing, it will provide notification and the opportunity for its users to indicate whether they would prefer that Blackout not provide such information about them to third parties. Because this information is a critical part of our business, it would be treated like our other assets in the context of a merger, sale, or other corporate reorganization or legal proceeding.

How We Use Information

Information we collect is used principally to provide you with the service(s) and product(s) you have ordered and to let you know about other offerings that may be of interest to you. Postal and email address information, for example, enables communication about services offered and ordered, as well as the proper provisioning and billing of those services. Information will be provided in response to subpoenas and other legal demands, and where we believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against individuals who may be endangering public safety or interfering with property or services, or with our customers' or others' use of them.

How We Collect Information

Information is collected online by asking you for it, for example, when you sign up for service. A customer's name, address (postal and email), and telephone number are the most important pieces of information, but we might request other information based on, for example, individual organization marketing services.
